General FAQs

My ideal client is a mid-market business with 100 Million dollars in revenue and up to two Billion dollars in revenue across industries. While I am not targeting Fortune 100 clients, I am not opposed to working with them. If one reached out with a business need that fits my skills, I’d be happy to talk with them.

At this point, I have had client experiences across a wide range of industries, including aircraft manufacturing, regional airline provider, sheet metal manufacturing, telecommunications, hospitality, consumer packaged goods, medical goods distribution, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology. It comes naturally to me to customize major deliverables to unique clients, businesses, and industries. By working closely with my clients and asking good questions, tailoring an approach to any industry is easy.

I co-create the plan for managing change with my clients and enable them to lead whenever possible. Clients who value the support and are willing to pay for it may opt for more of my time. The complexity of the engagement drives significant decisions, such as the size of the change team, the level of effort required by other resources, such as process owners or SMEs, and the metrics we use to track adoption.

When you need a business consultant, you are looking for an expert who can guide you through a project, create the plan, and drive outcomes and results. Consultants share their knowledge and expertise. Executive coaches help clients gain insight by asking good questions, helping clients set aspirational goals, and creating a plan to achieve them. Coaches “ask” instead of “tell.” There certainly are situations where a coach can share expertise, but it is not their primary function. Finally, an executive coach is not a therapist. Clients needing clinical counseling will be directed to pursue support from the clinician of their choice.

A free discovery session is a 30-minute meeting where a potential client requests to get to know me, explore their business requirements, and see if we are a good fit for a consulting or coaching engagement.

Executive Coaching FAQs

Coaching engagements can run for six months or a year, or the duration can be based on the business need.

A close look at the outcomes of a coaching engagement in the final session of a series can be an eye-opening experience. In the final session, we look at the aspirational goals set and the plan created to achieve them and take stock of what was accomplished. Completing a thorough review in the final session helps coachees see the impact of the engagement and their return on investment.

Yes. Each engagement requires goals customized to the individual and the situation so that they are focused throughout the engagement.

Yes. I am happy to work with teams and individuals. The engagement can be customized entirely to the business needs.

I hold the Professional Certified Coach designation given by the International Coaching Federation. Continuing education is required to maintain the qualification.

Business Consulting FAQs

Engaging a consultant can help you reduce the productivity dip, increase business performance, achieve adoption of new behaviors, and create a better workplace.

I specialize in solving human capital-oriented business problems. Anything involving the people side of the business, such as managing change, designing new operating models and organizations, building skills or capabilities, mitigating business impacts, and managing risks, is central to how I serve clients.

Yes. Some clients need support for shorter timeframes, like one business quarter, and others need long-term consulting over a year or more.

My approach depends on the maturity of the acquiring client and the business need. In every situation, I’ll start by asking a lot of open-ended due diligence questions to understand more about the business value of the acquisition and what’s at stake in the transaction. Some clients need a complete human capital strategy and plan, and others need a light version that the business owner can complete and implement themselves to make sure they have taken care of the people in their business. Both sides add value for clients and truly make a difference. The solution needs to fit the business needs

Fractional consulting services provide high-end consulting services to clients who need a lighter version without full-time support. The client may be looking for 1 – 4 days a week of consulting which may include a weekly status meeting with my sponsor, a team meeting that I help facilitate or own, and several more meetings a week with subject matter experts or process owners to help keep a human capital strategy initiative on track. Through a client conversation, I can quickly help them size an engagement to the appropriate number of days a week. In some cases, I develop deliverables, and in other cases, I serve in purely an advisory capacity.

Logistics & Pricing FAQs

The fees I charge for consulting and coaching are custom to each engagement and business need so it all depends on the situation, the duration of the engagement, and client preferences. Whether fractional, advisory, or full-time consulting support, the fee structure is customized to the business situation.
